BED ANJEER

The drug Bed Anjeer consists of mature and dried seeds of Ricinus communis L. (Euphorbiaceae); a tall glabrous shrub or almost small tree, 2-4 m high; found throughout India, mostly grow wild on waste land and also cultivated for its oil seeds.
Temperament: Hot and Dry
Action(s): Resolvent (Mohallil), Soothing agent (Musakkin), Detergent (Jali), Emmenagogue (Mudirr-e-Haiz), Vermicide (Qatil-e-Kirm-e-Shikam)
Theraputic Use(s): Polyarthritis(Waja-ul-Mafasil), Hemiplegia(Falij), Facial palsy(Laqwa), Worm infestation(Deedan-e-Ama), Amenorrhoea(Ehtibas-e-Haiz), Cough(Sual).
Dose: 7-10 g
