The drug Bisbasa consists of dried aril of Myristica fragrans Houtt. (Myristicaceae); a medium sized evergreen tree 8-15 m high, native of the East Moluccas. It is cultivated in the Malaya Peninsula and the Malaya Islands. In India it is found in a few localities, chiefly botanic gardens, Kerala where the climate is sufficiently hot and moist

Action(s): Stomachic (Muqawwi-e-Meda), Digestive (Hazim), Carminative (Kasir-e-Riyah), Cardiotonic (Muqawwi-e-Qalb).
Theraputic Use(s): Indigestion (Su-e-Hazm), Sexual Debility (Zof-e-Bah)
Dose: 2-5 g.
