The drug Beejband consists of dried seeds of Rumex maritimus L. (Polygonaceae); an annual herb occurring in the temperate Himalayas and wet ground of the banks of rivers in the planes of north India and Marshes in Assam, Bengal, Western Ghats, Nilgiri and Palani Hills at 1200 to 3600 m elevation. It is distributed to Europe, Asia, North Africa and North and South America. It occurs during summer season. Flowering and fruiting take place during April to June.

Theraputic Use(s): Sexual debility(Zof-e-Bah), Spermatorrhoea(Jiryan), Low Backache(Waja-ul-Qatan), Leucorrhoea(Sailan-ur-Rahem)
Dose: 5 - 10 g.
